A Week of Purposeful Activity
Our recent mission to Graafwater was a heartwarming testament to the power of faith, teamwork, and love. The journey began with an excited group of children welcoming our team, setting a joyful tone for the days to come. The mission’s foundation was built on prayer and worship, reminding us of the spiritual battle that precedes visible impact.

Holiday Club for the Youth
From 8:30 AM, we hosted a holiday club, engaging over 230 children daily. The energy and love shown by the team towards these children, many of whom came from challenging backgrounds, were remarkable. The sessions were filled with games, teachings, and activities that left lasting impressions.
Evangelism and Senior Outreach
While children attended the holiday club, other team members focused on senior house visits and evangelism. Strategies such as the “Three Circles” method and personal encounters were used to share the Gospel. These efforts led to significant spiritual breakthroughs, including salvations, healings, and deliverances.
The evangelism team held three open-air services with live music, drawing many community members and changing lives through heartfelt messages and worship.
Results of the Mission
The mission saw numerous lives transformed. Salvations were documented, with follow-ups and baptisms ensuring a lasting impact. A detailed table of those reached highlights the depth of engagement achieved during the mission.
Behind the Scenes Heroes
The kitchen team deserves special recognition for their dedication. From 6 AM to 10 PM, they prepared three meals a day and supported the team with refreshments. Their service was truly “as unto the Lord,” enabling others to focus on ministry.
Local support was also invaluable. Graafwater church members helped with auxiliary duties and prepared the venue by painting and installing a geyser, improving facilities for everyone involved.
Lessons and Recommendations
This mission underscored the importance of building authentic relationships and empowering the local community. Key recommendations include:
Leadership Unity: Hosting a leadership breakfast could help bridge divisions within the Christian community, enhancing collective evangelism efforts.
Strengthening Youth Development: Training young people in leadership and skills can create a sustainable youth movement.
Food Preparation Training: Sharing practical knowledge can address socio-economic challenges and foster church growth.
Moving Forward
Our Graafwater mission reaffirmed our calling as a missionary church (Matthew 28:19-20). It was a privilege to witness God’s work in the community, and we remain committed to ongoing discipleship and empowerment.
Let us continue to pray for Pastor Mervyn, the Graafwater church, and the broader community. Together, we can bring hope and transformation to those in need.
